Nominate a Dad

Nominate a dad for a DFIO recognition package and a social-media spotlight (with consent). Dads do not need to have social media to be nominated. Each selected dad may receive a keepsake DFIO challenge coin, DFIO merch, and a live or featured shout-out — plus a place in our growing DFIO Dads network. As part of Phase 1, we’re working toward recognizing at least one dad in all 50 states.

Dad Nomination

Nominate any dad (online or offline)

  • Share why this dad deserves recognition with specific examples
  • If he’s on social media, include @handles or profile links so we can tag (with permission)
  • If he’s not on social media, we may ask you for photos so we can create the recognition video
  • Help us move closer to our goal of recognizing dads in all 50 states

Where the impact shows up

DFIO recognitions live on social — weekly Lives, duet moments, and posts where dads are celebrated by name (with consent). Recognized DFIO Dads often show up to encourage other dads in the comments and on Lives, building a nationwide support network one story at a time.

Following and sharing helps us reach more dads who deserve to be seen.

How it works

  1. Tell us the story with specific examples of how this dad shows up.
  2. If available, share social media info so we can reach the right person and tag (with permission).
  3. If no social media, share photos (optional) so we can create a personalized recognition video.
  4. We review & schedule a DFIO Dad Recognition during a live or featured social post if selected (with consent).

We read every nomination. Timing and scheduling depend on volume and how many recognitions we have planned each week.

What each recognized dad receives

  • A DFIO keepsake challenge coin as a tangible reminder of why he was nominated and recognized
  • A piece of DFIO-branded merch (varies by recognition)
  • A social-media spotlight during a DFIO live and/or post (with consent)
  • A place in the DFIO Dads network — a growing group of recognized dads who often show up to support other dads online

As DFIO grows, our Phase 1 goal is to recognize at least one dad in every U.S. state while keeping each recognition meaningful and personal.

Who’s eligible

By submitting, you confirm accuracy and that you have permission to share this story. DFIO may contact you for additional details (including photos, if offered). Stories, images, or media are shared publicly only with permission and in ways that respect the dad and his family.

FAQ

Do I need the nominee’s permission first?

You can nominate a dad without telling him. If selected, we reach out privately to confirm details and get consent before any public recognition.

What if the dad doesn’t have social media?

No problem — social media is not required. If selected, we may ask you (or someone close to the dad) to share photos so we can create a personalized recognition video for DFIO channels.

What if I only have a handle or a link?

That’s perfect. @handles or profile links are helpful. If you don’t have them, share the story and we’ll follow up if we need more details.

Are recognitions guaranteed?

We review every nomination, but we can’t guarantee recognition. Our goal is to grow this program sustainably, reach dads across all 50 states, and keep each recognition meaningful and personal.
