Fundraiser Update
Latest Progress
3-2-26: In support of this experience, Lagavulin would love to offer complimentary tickets for Keyton — along with a guest of his choosing — to visit the Lagavulin distillery. We’d be honored to play a small part in helping bring this trip to life.
3-18-26: Thanks to incredible support across multiple fundraising platforms, we’ve now raised just over $7,000 toward our $18,000 goal for Keyton’s Scotland wish trip.
Every donation, share, and message of support is helping us move closer to giving Keyton, his wife, and child the opportunity to create meaningful memories together while time still allows.
We are deeply grateful for the compassion already shown and ask everyone to continue sharing and supporting as we work to make this wish possible.

Keyton Blocher’s story is one of strength, faith, and fatherhood — even in the face of life’s hardest realities. At just 26 years old, Keyton is a husband, a father, and now a three-time cancer fighter. His journey began in April 2023 when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer that would quickly change the course of his family’s life. Since that first diagnosis, the disease has returned twice. This time, it’s terminal. The cancer, which began in his legs, has now spread to multiple areas of his body. Keyton undergoes chemotherapy treatments every three weeks, fighting not just for himself — but for the moments he still hopes to experience with his family. One of his biggest goals is heartbreakingly simple: “I’m about four years from turning 30… and that’s my biggest goal. I would like to turn 30.” Only a few months after Keyton and his wife Jessica welcomed their first son, Rex, their lives shifted into survival mode. Jessica became more than a wife and mother — she became a caregiver, walking beside her husband through hospital visits, treatments, and the emotional weight that cancer brings. Rex, still so young, has only ever known his dad as someone battling illness — yet also as someone fighting with everything he has. Despite the hardship, the Blocher family has never walked alone. Their local church and the Columbus community have surrounded them with unwavering support — showing up with meals, childcare, prayers, and encouragement during both the highs and the lows. They didn’t just offer help. They showed up at the door. Keyton has also faced additional medical challenges. A heart condition limits certain treatment options, forcing him at times to travel to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas for specialized care — adding physical, emotional, and financial strain to an already heavy journey. There are moments, Jessica says, where it feels like they’ve been robbed of a normal life. And yet — they remain grounded in faith. They hold tightly to hope, believing in miracles even while preparing for the unknown. In the midst of treatments and uncertainty, Keyton continues to pour into others. Through his social media platform, Legacy Dad, he spreads positivity, shares his journey, and raises awareness for families facing similar battles. He refuses to let his diagnosis define the impact he can still make. And like many fathers, he carries dreams that reach beyond his circumstances. One of those dreams — a true bucket-list wish — is to travel to Scotland. Not just for the beauty of the land, but for the experience, the memories, and the chance to stand somewhere he’s always longed to see. Time is the one thing none of us can promise. Doctors have shared an estimated life expectancy of two to five years. Yet Keyton continues treatment with one simple goal: To stay alive as long as he can… To love his family as long as he can… To keep showing up as a Dad. Through every hospital visit, every chemo cycle, and every uncertain day, Jessica remains by his side — partners in faith, partners in fight, partners in love. Their journey reminds us that even in life’s hardest chapters, fatherhood, community, and hope still shine through. And that’s exactly why this fundraiser exists. To rally around a Dad who has spent his fight lifting others… To honor his strength… And to help grant a wish that would create unforgettable memories for him and his family. Because showing up matters.
